The Minnesota Department of Transportation is seeking comment on a draft of the 2017 Regional Transit Coordination Plan for Southeast Minnesota.
According to a press release, the draft 2017 plan for southeast Minnesota brought together stakeholders from the 11-county region in southeast Minnesota to coordinate the future of transit services in the next five years.
A special focus of the plan was on human service transit services for the elderly, people of low income, persons with disabilities and veterans. The plan was last updated in 2011 and this plan update is a federal requirement to receive transit funding for communities in the region.
To learn more about the plan and review it, visit www.coordinatemntransit.org. The plan is available in physical format at 2900 48th Ave. NW, Rochester, MN 55901.
Public comment and input will be accepted until May 11.
