1 injured in crash

Laurie Jean Kvale, 56, was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea after an injury traffic crash was reported at 9:50 a.m. Thursday on Freeborn County Road 46. Police cited Tawnya Knowles for failing to yield to oncoming traffic when turning left. Kvale was transported after reportedly experiencing chest, neck and ankle pain.

6 arrested, cited for DWI

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited Tamirel Lanee Converse, 40, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and on an apprehension detention order for a probation violation at 5:31 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 13 and 315th St., outside Hartland.

Deputies arrested Benjamin David Erdner, 36, for DWI during a traffic stop at 10:22 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of 660th Avenue and 285th St., outside Freeborn.

Deputies arrested Brandon John Urban, 24, for fourth-degree DWI during a traffic stop at 12:35 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 65 and 170th St., outside Albert Lea.

Deputies arrested Asuncion Sebastian Alejo, 24, for fourth-degree DWI and driving after revocation during a traffic stop at 1:07 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Plaza Street.

Albert Lea police arrested Brandon Michael Jenkins, 27, for third-degree DWI during a traffic stop at 2:10 a.m. Saturday at 811 Frank Ave.

One person was in custody for DWI at 11:49 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Ramsey Street. The person’s name was not listed on police records.

5 arrested, cited for violations

Albert Lea police arrested Charlie Domontie Morris III, 21, for driving after cancellation and for a domestic abuse no-contact order violation during a traffic stop at 4:04 p.m. Friday at 505 W. Front St.

Police cited two juvenile males for theft at 11:23 a.m. Thursday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.

Police cited one person for possessing tobacco at 9:32 a.m. Friday at 2200 Riverland Drive. The person’s name was not listed on police records.

Police cited a male for underage drinking after an intoxicated person was reported at 4:12 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of East Clark Street and South Newton Avenue. The person’s name was not listed in police records.

3 arrested on warrants

Police arrested Rex Emery Garr, 54, on a warrant at 6:19 p.m. Friday at 621 E. 11th St.

Police arrested Nyakwach Tut Gach, 22, for gross misdemeanor providing false information and on a Mower County warrant at 9:47 p.m. Saturday at 110 S. Seventh Ave.

Alan Blake Cloutier turned himself in on a local warrant at 7:37 p.m. Sunday at 411 S. Broadway.

Items damaged, stolen

An apartment was allegedly broken into, causing damage to a door and frame at 6:58 p.m. Thursday at 300 Court St.

A mailbox was allegedly either hit or smashed at 12:10 p.m. Friday at 13911 660th Ave., outside Alden.

A white, 18-foot enclosed trailer with a ramp door was reported stolen at 8:43 a.m. Friday at 1725 E. Main St. The incident allegedly occurred the previous night.

Three counterfeit $1 bills were alleged at 9:31 p.m. Friday at Kwik Trip, 1210 E. Main St. A suspect description was gathered.

Fraudulent charges on a bank account were reported at 11:14 p.m. Saturday at 204 E. Front St.

Children were implicated in a theft at 9:51 a.m. Sunday at Bubba’s Bait & Tackle, 1613 Stevens St.

A vehicle was allegedly smashed with a bat at 2:03 p.m. Sunday at 1105 S. Newton Ave. A suspect was identified.

Abuse, terroristic threats reported

Comments on Facebook regarding shooting up a school were reported at 4:34 p.m. Thursday at 909 W. Front St.

A woman claimed she was harassed at Trail’s Travel Center at 9:36 a.m. Thursday. She alleged that someone took a picture of her daughter.

A Department of Human Services report of a child in need of protection based on abuse at home was made at 10:35 a.m. Thursday in Albert Lea.

A DHS report of children in a home being exposed to methamphetamine and marijuana was made at 11:15 a.m. Thursday.

Harassment was alleged at 2:30 p.m. Friday at 820 S. Fourth Ave.

Harassment was alleged at 3:28 p.m. Friday at 1125 Frank Hall Drive.

Domestic abuse was alleged at 9:56 p.m. Saturday at 204 S. Pearl St. A domestic incident was also alleged at that address at 11:23 p.m. Saturday.
