Gary Doyle, 1937-2017

Gary L. Doyle, 79, passed away Monday, May 1, 2017.

He was born Oct. 26, 1937, to Vernon and Mabel Doyle.

He was married to his wife, Arlene, for 54 years.

Gary retired from Streater LLC in Albert Lea. He loved his children and being a grandfather.

He was a huge Dale Earnhart fan. Gary had a dirt track race car with Everette Stundahl and Roger Rupp in the 1980s. Playing Yahtzee and cribbage were two of his favorite past-time hobbies.

He is survived by four children, Justine (Kim) Politz of Burnsville, Scott Doyle of Minneapolis, Perriann (Mike) Fischer of New Hope and Bradley (friend, Bobbie Noble) Doyle of Norwood-Young America; three grandchildren, Ryan Politz of Eagan, Kyle (friend, Mallory Hazel) Politz of Burnsville and Jason (Amanda) Serrano of St. Paul; great-grandson, Chance; six brothers and sisters, Delores Robinson of Albert Lea, Kenneth Doyle of Albert Lea, Roger Doyle of Albert Lea, and Burton and Doreen Doyle of Conger; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene; and sister, Lois Heine.

A celebration of his life will be from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 20 in the community room at  Senior Court, 915 Maplehill Drive. All his friends and family are invited to share special memories and celebrate his life. He is gone from his family and friends, but his teasing ways and funny T-shirts will not be forgotten.
