Ladies Aid

The Ladies Aid of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Albert Lea met May 11 in Luther Hall. Hostesses were Kathy Halvorson and Verna Tuttle.

Rev. James Kassera led the devotions on Psalm 23:1. Members joined in singing “Beautiful Savior,” and closed with the Lord’s Prayer. Betty Knutson served as pianist.

President Maren Ring presided over the business meeting. She thanked all those who brought cakes and served at the funeral for Ronald and Barbara Hagen. She also thanked everyone who helped make the salad luncheon a success, which included those who took care of advertising, delivered posters, brought salads or bars, and worked in the kitchen and dining room.

The secretary’s report was given by Knutson and the treasurer’s report was given by Angie Nelson. They were approved as read.

A motion was made by Halvorson and seconded by Nelson to have the fall bazaar on Sept. 8.

The meeting was closed with a prayer.
