A 2009 Cadillac CTS valued at about $21,000 was missing from the garage, along with two flat-screen televisions, two golf bags with clubs, two safes, a jewelry box and jewelry, and some silverware from the house.

Jergens and Michael Haukoos were arrested Feb. 2, 2016, in connection with the burglary after a deputy noticed a black Cadillac matching the description of the stolen vehicle parked in the driveway at 113 McKinley St. in Manchester — Haukoos’ residence. The license plate of the car had been stolen from the Hy-Vee parking lot the day before.

During a search of the house, officers and deputies found several of the other stolen items, and Haukoos was reportedly found hiding under a pile of laundry in the basement.

Haukoos pleaded guilty to felony receiving stolen property in April. Sentencing for him is scheduled for June 29.

Jergens was placed on probation for one year Thursday in two other files for gross misdemeanor theft and gross misdemeanor transferring/receiving stolen property.
