Two area golfers will compete in next week’s girls’ state golf tournament.

United South Central’s Morgan Pyzick and Alden-Conger’s Elynn Johnson will tee off in the Class 1A tournament at Pebble Creek Golf Course in Becker.

Johnson is the first representative for the Knights girls’ team in 25 years.

Pyzick will tee off at 12:54 p.m. and Johnson will be in the following group at 1:03 p.m.

The tournament runs Tuesday and June 14.
