Morin Lake Days, which was established in 1990, will take place from Friday to Sunday in Alden.

This year’s events will be based on a fitness theme, celebrating the community’s “happy feet” and the LeVerne Carlson Foundation and Fitness Center.

All days: New this year, there will be a Best Shot Scramble at Oakview Golf Course at 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Register for the event by calling 507-863-2288.

Friday

Noon: Morin Lake Days medallion hunt begins, cash prize awarded

1 to 4 p.m.: Community Museum will be open

1:30 to 3 p.m.: Wes Hintz Fishing Contest at Morin Lake

5 to 7:30 p.m.: Alden Boy Scouts serving a barbecue supper by the lake, $6 per plate

6:30 p.m.: Kiddie parade with a fitness theme next to the LeVerne Carlson Fitness Center

7 p.m.: Alden-Conger FFA-sanctioned kiddie tractor pull

8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.: Karaoke at the Legion, cash prizes will be awarded

Saturday

All day: Food stands at North Park

All day: Softball tournament at North Park, register for the event by calling Mark Stoneback at 507-383-1920.

All day: Volleyball tournament at North Park, register for the event by calling Jenny Hovendick at 507-213-0167.

8 to 11 a.m.: Legion pancake breakfast

9 a.m. to 3 p.m.: Broadway flea market

9 a.m.: Morin Lake Days Fun Run

Noon to TBD: Bean bag tournament at the Legion

Noon to 9 p.m.: Alden Scouts concession stand

1 to 4 p.m.: Community Museum is open

2 to 4 p.m.: Canoe races and activities on Morin Lake

4 to 9 p.m.: Inflatable obstacle course

5 to 6:30 p.m.: Ice cream social and fundraiser Washington D.C. trip at Alden City Hall

7 p.m.: Morin Lake Days parade marshalled by The LeVerne Carlson Foundation

8 p.m. to midnight: Street dance for teens by the fitness center

8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.: American Legion, live DJ in Hemmingsen’s transfer lot

Dusk: Fireworks over Morin Lake

Sunday

All day: Softball tournament and food stands

8 a.m. to noon: Lions Club and Youth Football breakfast in the Alden-Conger High School gym

9:30 a.m.: Worship by the Water at the Morin Lake picnic shelter

Noon to 3 p.m.: Canoes for use

1 p.m.: Tug of War at Northpark, weigh-in at 12:30 p.m.
