“Music Box Man” will be this month’s feature in the Dorothy Godtland lecture series, according to a press release. Kiven Lukes, a rural Glenville resident, will be the guest speaker.

For the past 15 years, Lukes has put together a diverse collection of mechanical musical instruments, some dating back 200 years. The collection has been restored and contains about 25 pieces, which include music boxes, reproducing grand pianos, various organs and American and European orchestrions.

Due to the nature and size of the collection,  Lukes has built a music hall at his residence where the lecture will take place, instead of at The Albert Lea Art Center. The address is 14144 890th Ave. in Glenville. The event is free and open to the public.
