Raymond Perez, 1938-2017

Raymond Perez, 79, died Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Trinity Care Center in Austin, Texas. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Theodore Catholic Church, 315 E. Clark St. in Albert Lea. The Rev. Russell Scepaniak will officiate. A visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, 2210 E. Main St. in Albert Lea, and again one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery.

Raymond Perez was born March 14, 1938, to parents Elicero and Josephine (Hernandez) Perez in Mason City. He attended school in Mason City and Albert Lea.

For the past 22 years, Raymond lived in Austin, Texas, with Connie Windorpski. Ray loved to fish and dabbled in making jewelry. He was loved by all and will be deeply missed.

Raymond is survived by his son, Daniel Perez, and his wife, Marne, of Plymouth; son, Tray Perez, and his girlfriend, Christine, of Isanti; grandchildren Drew, D.J. and Markel; great-granddaughter, Paisley; partner, Connie Windorpski; sisters Isabel Villarreal and her husband, Albert, of Albert Lea and Rita Johnson of Albert Lea; brothers Phil Perez and his wife, Judy, of Minneapolis and Reuben Perez and his wife, Sandy, of Albert Lea; as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elicero and Josephine Perez; and siblings Jessie, John, Lupe, Virginia, Elicero Jr., Richard, Bill and Paul.
