Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea and Austin awarded 20 $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors in its service area interested in pursuing an education in health care, according to a press release. The scholarship encourages students and gives them the opportunity to achieve their goals.
Health care scholarship recipients include: Mai Dang-Huynh, Callie Hanson, Camryn Keyeski, Madison Lindely, Justine Nelson and Claire Sherman, all of Albert Lea High School; Katelyn Greibrok, Jekap Omod, Aubrey Peterson and Katie Waller, all of Austin High School; Laura Grant, Leah Schiefert and Marissa Larson, all of Blooming Prairie; Hattie Voigt and Brittanie Winfield, all of Grand Meadow High School; Sydney Dahl of Lake Mills High School; Gretchen Ramaker, Maddie Wagner and Natalie Aaseth, all of NRHEG High School; and Alexis Meek of St. Ansgar High School.
Scholarships were awarded primarily on the basis of leadership, commitment, character and academic ability.
