An Albert Lea teenage boy was injured on Thursday after he was struck by a vehicle near the Freeborn County Fairgrounds while riding a bicycle.

Wyatt Gregory Reed, 15, was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. 

Reed and a 2001 GMC Yukon driven by Emma Rae Mugan, 16, of Albert Lea were heading west on Richway Drive, according to police. Reed was reportedly attempting to turn left into the fairgrounds, when he cut into the path of the Yukon and was struck by Mugan.

The crash was reported to police at 4:01 p.m. at the northwest fair gate. No citations were issued from the crash.
