Letter: Picture, story were in poor taste

Oct. 31, 2017, represents the 500th anniversary of Martin Luther’s formal beginning of the Protestant Reformation.
To see “The Lutheran Lifestyle” picture on the front page of the Albert Lea Tribune was a disgrace, disgusting, demeaning, crude, uncultured and an abomination toward one of the great reformers of all time.
Having a sense of humor is one thing, but this picture/performance activity is below the line. What does the song “The Menopause Medley” have to do with being Lutheran or Methodist or Presbyterian, etc.?
If attending a hotdish is so hilarious, perhaps one should consider helping to feed the less fortunate.
This stage allegory is cheap and certainly not family friendly. Respect and honor for great leaders/reformers must be acknowledged and taught to young people.
