Brian Hensley, certified financial planner of Intego Financial Group LLC of Albert Lea, has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to use the certified financial planner and CFP certification marks in accordance with CFP Board certification and renewal requirements, according to a press release.
Hensley started Intego Financial Group in 2013 and specializes in assisting families and local businesses with investment planning, retirement planning and business succession.
“I owe it to my clients to have the most current education and advanced planning tools at my fingertips.,” Hensley said. “The coursework was quite (long and) difficult, but continuing to learn is a key to serving the client the best that I can.”
The CFP marks identify those individuals who have met the experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP certification examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits, and estate planning.
CFP professionals also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold the CFP Board’s code of ethics and professional responsibility, rules of conduct and financial planning practice standards.
Hensley and his wife, Sarah, relocated to Freeborn County from Peoria, Illinois, in 2013. Together they operate Intego Financial Group LLC and Intego Insurance Services Inc. Both are involved in numerous nonprofit organizations as well as professional development opportunities.
