Duplicate Bridge

Duplicate Bridge was played at seven tables on Aug. 1 at the Senior Center in Austin.

Winners were Gail and Ray Schmidt, first place; Loren Cleland and Dave Ring and Gene Muchow and Ron Peters, tied for second; Vandy Newman and Bud Higgins, fourth place; Quentin Fiala and Dave Solomonson, fifth place; and Romelle Enderson and Bonnie Fritz, sixth place.

Duplicate Bridge was played at six tables on Aug. 2 at the Senior Center in Austin. Winners were Joyce Crowe and Millie Seiver, first place; Vandy Newman and Ron Peters, second place; Dave Ring and Orrin Roisen, third place; Carolyne Higgins and Connie Johnson, fourth place; and Quentin Fiala and John Karnes, fifth place. Sixth-place finishers were unlisted.

Duplicate bridge is played at 12:30 p.m. every Tuesday and noon every Wednesday at the Senior Center in Austin. Players come from Adams, Rose Creek, Albert Lea, Austin, Northwood and Mason City. According to a press release, bridge-lovers everywhere are encouraged to join the group. Those who want to play, but do not have a partner may call 507-437-2750.
