A probation officer allegedly observed a clip indicating a knife on Kilian-Bock’s pocket while he was in a waiting area.

Court documents state Kilian-Bock said he put the knife — described in court documents as “capable of producing death or great bodily harm” — in his pocket so it would not be seen after he realized he was in possession of it. The knife had a 3 1/4-inch blade.

Judge Ross Leuning released Kilian-Bock on his own recognizance Tuesday. He was ordered to have contact with his probation officer, not leave the state without written court approval, sign a waiver of extradition and not use or possess firearms or dangerous weapons.

Kilian-Bock’s next appearance is scheduled for Jan. 25.

In a separate file, Kilian-Bock is charged with possessing a weapon in a courthouse complex after allegedly possessing four folding knives in the courthouse in November 2016. He has pleaded not guilty in that file, and a plea hearing is scheduled Jan. 29.

Possessing a weapon in a courthouse complex carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
