St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea will host a retreat on immigration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 10.

According to a press release, the event is an opportunity for Hispanic and Anglo residents to encounter each other as the face of Christ to one another. The retreat will feature headsets that will allow participants to have instant translation of talks that will be alternately in English and Spanish. 

The release said the event is a chance to put a human face to the immigration issue.

The retreat costs $10, which covers the cost of lunch. Deadline for signup is March 1.

The event is sponsored by Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota, which serves the 20 southernmost counties of Minnesota spanning the territory from the Mississippi River to the South Dakota border.
