Funeral services for Thomas Lyle Becker, 66, of Albert Lea will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. Kurt Farrell will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with family one hour before services at the church. Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Thomas died Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, in Philadelphia.

Thomas was born to Joseph and Mary Ann Becker in Albert Lea. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith. Thomas attended Catholic school through sixth grade and graduated in 1970 from Albert Lea High School.

Following graduation at the age of 18, he obtained his CDL license and drove over the road truck up to his death. He was awarded the Safe Driving Award for 45 years accident-free.

Thomas was united in marriage to Delores Henkensiefken in Waseca on Nov. 20, 1982.

He enjoyed reading, restoring old trucks — as he was a good mechanic, and being with family. Thomas loved chocolate and M&Ms.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Delores, of 35 years; son, Jason, from a previous marriage and his girlfriend, Kim, of Rochester; parents Joseph and Mary Ann Becker; siblings Joseph Becker and his wife, Sandy, Catherine and her husband, Terry Sippel, and Richard Becker, all of Albert Lea; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Daryl and Linda Youngerberg of Janesville, Tom and Mary Kimbro of Owatonna, David Henkensiefken of New Richland, Robert and Sue Stoltz of Waseca, Gary and Deb Henkensiefken of Ellendale, Rick and Karen Ditlevson of Owatonna and Dale (Crystal Young) Henkensiefken of Waseca; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, mother-in-law and grandparents.
