There’s something fishy on Friday at St. Theodore Catholic Church and School — it’s on the menu. St. Theodore is having a fish fry and serving (in addition to fish) baked or mashed potatoes, coleslaw, rolls, ice cream and a selection of beverages. The fry runs from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at St. Theodore’s Marian Hall.

3. Albert Lea figure skating show

Albert Lea figure skaters will channel surf with the best of them Saturday and Sunday as they put on Sk8TV, their 57th annual show. It will feature more than 60 skaters in 40 performances, all set to songs from popular television shows. The skaters will hit the ice at 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Albert Lea City Arena.

4. Kiwanis breakfast

The Albert Lea Noon Kiwanis Club is hosting a breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Albert Lea American Legion. Donations will go toward student education scholarships. On the menu: pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, fruit cups, milk, coffee and orange juice.

5. Tigers Roar

The annual fine arts fundraiser at Albert Lea High School kicks off tonight as students present “Fairy Tale Roar.” The student talent showcase will include singing, dancing, skits, instrumentalists and comedy. The show will also incorporate the Albert Lea High School jazz band and the CATaclysmic show choir. The show begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
