Letter: Where is Mayo’s good faith?

Public beware! As SEIU union people, we were hopeful going into negotiations on Monday with bargaining with Mayo, and we were shot down. We have given, given and given, and have tried all kinds of package deals, and they will not budge. They said they were hoping to come to an agreement acceptable to both parties, but it seems their idea of an acceptable agreement means they will only accept what they want. It seems we are the only ones bargaining in good faith. We are highly disappointed that Mayo has again turned down any of our offers. Have they looked up the word negotiation? Guess not, so I will say in the dictionary it says, “discussion aimed at reaching an agreement.” They want the public to think they are the “good guys,” so that is why I have to write this letter to let the public be aware of what they are doing. They want us to agree that they can change anything at any time, and we should agree to this. So what does this mean to us? They call this a fair agreement? Heads up to the public.
