1 arrested for drug possession

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Michael Allen Haukoos, 40, for fifth-degree controlled substance possession after a probation check was reported at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at 408 S. Broadway Ave.

Sexual abuse, children in need of protection reported

A report of a child in need of protection was made at 9:51 a.m. Thursday in Albert Lea.

Sexual abuse was reported at 7:58 p.m. Thursday in Albert Lea. A suspect was identified.

A child in need of protection was reported at 3:32 p.m. Tuesday in Freeborn County.

Thefts, damage reported

A back window was reported shattered from an attempted break-in at 12:29 p.m. Thursday at DAE Liquor, 901 S. Broadway Ave. No other damage was reported. Damage was estimated at $250.

Someone who resides in Texas reported having their identity used in Albert Lea at 2:48 p.m. Thursday at 619 St. Peter Ave.

Narcotic medication was reported taken out of a purse at 3:27 p.m. Thursday at 803 Bridge Ave. The incident allegedly took place about three weeks ago.

Damage to a mailbox via a baseball bat was reported at 4:55 p.m. Wednesday at 72361 180th St.

A report of glass breaking was made at 11:26 p.m. Wednesday at 89060 Oakland Ave. in the Oakland area. Three young males reportedly entered a black SUV and left heading east.
