Four people from Des Moines were injured Saturday evening after a vehicle rolled over on Interstate 35 near Freeborn County Road 35.
Jonathan Holman, 3, Hawa Kemokai, 23, Hanna Payne, 22, and Victor Vic Richards, 19, were taken to the Owatonna hospital, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Holman, Kemokai, Payne and Richards were passengers in a 1999 Ford Explorer, driven by Christiana Totaye, 25.
The State Patrol report stated the Explorer was traveling northbound on Interstate 35 at 5:36 p.m. when Totaye lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll.
Totaye and another passenger, Daniel Capard, 34, were not injured.
Roads were snow and ice-covered at the time of the crash, and alcohol was not a factor.
Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Ellendale first responders, Gold Cross Ambulance, Geneva Fire Department and Clarks Grove Fire Department assisted.
