Carol Wells, 1939-2018

Carol Ann Wells, 78, of Osage, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Osage. The Rev. Julie Schubert will officiate. Burial will be in Osage Cemetery. Visitation is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. There will be a time for lunch and fellowship immediately following the burial in the church hall.
Carol was born July 10, 1939, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Curtis and Dorothy (Emstad) Wedge. In 1957, she graduated from Hampton High School in Hampton, Iowa.
Carol married Harold Huisman in December 1957, and to this union six children were born. They later divorced. She married Jim Wells in December 1984. Jim died Oct. 29, 2006.
Carol worked as a certified nursing assistant and as a rehabilitation aide for 31-plus years at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage.
Carol is survived by her four children, Deb (Greg) Foster of Montana, Mike Huisman of St. Ansgar, Iowa, John (Vanessa) Huisman of Osage and Paul (Darlyne) Huisman of St. Ansgar; four stepchildren, Jeff, Jay, Jim and John Wells; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Vicky (Ken) Morrow, of Colorado; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons, Donald and David; husband, Jim; and infant granddaughter, Samantha Huisman.
