Eugene Karl Harig of Albert Lea passed away April 1, 2018, at St Marys Hospital in Rochester. The family has chosen to honor his wishes for a private service.

Gene was born March 11, 1937, in Freeborn County. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

Gene is survived by his wife, Diane Harig, of Albert Lea; daughter, Lory  Petersen, of Albert Lea; son, Mitchell Harig, of Clarks Grove; grandchildren Chelsea and Tyler Petersen; and two half brothers, Robert (Sue) Wangness and Rick (Liz) Wangness, both of Ellendale.
