Funeral services for Kathryn Sue Pacovsky, 69, of Albert Lea will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Holt will officiate. Interment will be at Bohemian National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church Friday. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Kathy died Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis.

Kathryn Sue Pacovsky was born Aug. 1, 1948, in Albert Lea, the daughter of George and Laura (Grinolds) Peterson. She grew up in Albert Lea, graduating from Albert Lea High School. On June 7, 1969, Kathy was united in marriage to Eugene Pacovsky at First Lutheran Church, where her grandparents were charter members. Kathy started working at Albert Lea Medical Center, then raised her children, returning to ALMC as her children grew up until her retirement in 2005. She loved her children, music, spending time with her family and going for walks. Kathy also loved animals, including her beloved pets Tubby, Missy, Gretchen, Sheba, BK, Callie and Mama. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and served on the funeral committee.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Eugene; daughters Lisa (Kyle) Birkenmeier, Lori Pacovsky (Chris Ferro) and Marica Borgen; grandchildren Lauren, Max, Hayden, Sam, Rowan, River, Daniel, Luke and Bear; sisters Betty Abben and Carol Gilderhus; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; brothers George Peterson, David Peterson and Thomas Peterson; and sister, Barb Armstrong.

In lieu of flowers, all memorials will be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
