1 arrested for domestic assault

Albert Lea police arrested Trevor Michael Clennon, 18, for domestic assault after a domestic incident was reported at 6:28 p.m. Tuesday at 1440 Lee Ave.

 

Scam reported

A report of someone being scammed out of $20,000 was made at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday in the Hollandale area.

 

3 cited for violations

Police cited Holly Marie Nelson, 35, for misusing a 911 call after disorderly conduct was reported at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday at 221 N. Third Ave. Nelson allegedly made disrespectful comments about officers and false statements about a dog attacking her twice.

Police cited Domingo Perez Samora, 60, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after a careless driving complaint was made at 3:23 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Southeast Broadway Avenue and Frank Avenue.  Perez was released to a sober person.

Police cited a juvenile for a tobacco violation at 10:41 a.m. Tuesday at Albert Lea High School, 2000 Tiger Lane.

 

Damage, theft reported

A vehicle theft report was made at 7:09 p.m. Tuesday at 411 S. Broadway Ave.

A report of a child breaking a window with a rock was made at 4:18 p.m. Tuesday at 82678 Minnesota Highway 251 in the Hollandale area. Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies planned to mail the child a citation for criminal damage to property. No restitution was requested. The cost of the damage is being covered by insurance.

Slight damage to a door strike plate was reported from attempted entry at 1:48 p.m. Tuesday at Plymouth Shoe Store, 129 S. Broadway Ave.

 

Assault reported

An assault report was filed at 9:31 p.m. Tuesday at 1442 Todd Ave. The incident allegedly occurred Monday night at a park in the area of Bridge Avenue and Albert Lea Street.
