Albert Lea High School vocal department to present spring concert

The Albert Lea High School vocal department will host its annual spring concert Monday in the ALHS auditorium. There will be two different concerts.
At 6:30 p.m. the concert will feature the celebr8 choir and the Tiger mixed choir ensembles of eighth- and ninth-graders. At 8 p.m the varsity choir, concert choir and chorale will perform. All the choirs are conducted by Diane Heaney.
According to a press release, the concerts will celebrate the accomplishments of the students from this past year.
The senior choir members will also be honored at the concert. They are Paige Thompson, Terri Wolfe, Ali Christensen, Alex Eckstrom, Karen Murillo, Morgan Jellinger, Morgana Jensen, Presley Duenes, Natalie Nafzger, Summer Beightol, Lydia Boorsma, Jessica Weiland, Cali Mowers, Daniela Galvan, Lauren Bizjak, Sydney Doran, Sky Jensen, Kyonna Smith, Natalie Day. Allea Bennett, Haley DeSart, Mitsy Vazquez, Tiffany Hallisy, Dusti Gullickson, Tatiana Tate, Shayla Heggestad, Kira Alm-Musel, Elizabeth Nafzger, Nallely Vazquez, Riley Jimenez, Ethan Eriksmoen, Will Kreun, Jens Lange, Logan Stadheim, Xay Sisouvanh, Jacob Leal, Kyle Nelson, Brad Heavner, Josh Englin, Colin Laurie, Brayden Boettcher, Lay Wah, Noah Wiese and Alec Wendelboe.
Alumni choir members will be invited to join this year’s concert choir in singing “Pilgrims Hymn” at the 8 p.m. concert.
This year, students from the choirs at ALHS have participated in choral festivals, chorale, caroliers, show choir, solo and ensemble contest, Big Nine music, All-State, trips to Minneapolis and Staples, Chanhassen Dinner Theater, Minnesota Opera and performed at community events.
Admission to the concert is $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Music concert passes are also valid for the concert. Tickets are available at the door and doors will open at 6 p.m. One ticket will gain admittance to both concerts.
