Students from the Kids College recently celebrated their newest book, “History of Swanfeather,” at a book release party May 19.

“History of Swanfeather” is a prequel and the final book in the Swanfeather series. The book includes short fantasy stories written collaboratively by students of the Kids College afterschool enrichment program.

“I’m so proud of these kids,” Kids College adviser Susanne Crane said. “They wrote and edited these books in a spirit of wholehearted collaborative effort and they did a great job.”

According to a press release, the series follows the stories of a group of half-human, half-mystical students who attend an unusual art school in a haunted building. Books are available for purchase at the Freeborn County Arts Initiative.
