Vicki Peterson passed away peacefully Sunday, May 27, 2018, at her home surrounded by the people she loved the most.

Friends may greet the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Brick Meger Funeral Home.

Vicki was born Nov. 28, 1952, in Albert Lea. She grew up in Ellendale and graduated from Ellendale-Geneva High School in 1970. She is the daughter of Chris and Elaine Peterson. Vicki enjoyed playing softball. She was an avid Minnesota sports fan and dog lover. She retired from Truth Hardware of Owatonna, where she worked for nearly 40 years.

Vicki is survived by her mother, Elaine Peterson; brother, Terry (Ann) Peterson, of Rochester; sister and best friend, Pam Sorlie, of Albert Lea; brother, Rodney (Kellie) Peterson, of Geneva; nieces Kaleigh (Matthew) Carlson, Amy Jacobson (Jeff Cheney) and Jill (Trevor) Otterbein; nephew, Corey (Heather) Peterson; great-nieces and nephews Zach (Vanessa) Jacobson, Braylon and Canaan Carlson, and Shelby Jacobson; one great-great-grandnephew, Bently Jacobson; and best friends Tuna, Scherb, Brenda, Becky and Mary.

She was preceded in death by her father, Chris Peterson; brother, Chad Peterson; and four beloved dogs, Sarah, Toto, Presley and Daisy.

A special thanks to Dr. Mina Hanna, the nursing staff at Mayo Clinic Health System in Owatonna Infusion Center and Allina Home Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Vicki.
