Glenville Days scheduled for this weekend

Glenville Days is returning again this year over a three-day span.

Many events from years past are returning, just in a different order than before.

The festival begins Friday  with a scholarship supper, and an egg toss, food vendors, hammer slagging and Payton Cech on Main Street, along with movie showings at Glenville-Emmons High School.

Saturday will be filled with park activities, a parade and the Little King and Queen contest. Children’s games and activities such as a ring toss, inflatable jumpers, power wheels derby and bingo will be available, among others in Glenville Park. Radio Active will perform during a street dance later that night on Main Street. There will be sumo wrestling this year.

The festival ends Sunday with a community church service at 9 a.m. at First Lutheran Church.

Friday

5-7:30 p.m.: Scholarship supper

6 p.m.: Egg toss on Main Street

6 p.m.: Food vendors on Main Street

6:30 p.m.: “The Lion King” movie showing at Glenville-Emmons High School

8 p.m.: Hammer slagging on Main Street

8 p.m.-midnight: Payton Cech music on Main Street

8:30 p.m.: “Jurassic Park” movie showing at Glenville-Emmons High School

 

Saturday

10 a.m.: Parade begins near Citizen State Bank

10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.: Inflatables in the park

11 a.m.: Little King and Queen contest takes place near tennis court

11 a.m.: Dinner in the park (rain site is First Lutheran Church)

11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Children’s games in the park

12-1 p.m.: Powerwheels derby on tennis courts

1-3 p.m.: Bingo in the park

1-3 p.m.: Sumo wrestling on Main Street

1-3 p.m.: Soap box derby in the park

1-5 p.m.: Food concessions by local nonprofits and clubs in the park

1-6 p.m.: Glenville Smoking Crew

2 p.m.: Brick Hall bike giveaway in the park

4-7 p.m.: Church of Cash on Main Street

6 p.m.: Food vendors on Main Street

8 p.m.: Raffle at Glenville American Legion

8 p.m.: Meat raffle on Main Street

8 p.m.-midnight: Radio Active on Main Street

 

Sunday

8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Dad’s Belgian waffles at First Lutheran Church

9 a.m.: Community church service at First Lutheran Church
