June Scherb

June Lorine was born June 9, 1927, in Kiester Township, the daughter of Victor and Kathryn (Loberg) Boettcher. She attended country school and graduated from Kiester High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Alvin Scherb on June 8, 1949, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kiester. Together they raised their family in rural Kiester.

She worked at Albert Lea Title Co. and was a teller at First State Bank in Kiester for many years. She enjoyed reading and dancing at the Pines and Golden Bubble. She was a seamstress for her family and a baker extraordinaire — Sally Ann cookies, spice cake and homemade bread among her specialties. She very much enjoyed reminiscing with family and friends.
