Kids Mud Fun Run

The annual Kids Mud Fun Run will start at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Edgewater Park for all children ages 5 to 12. There will be different heats based on age and number of participants. The event features a fun-filled course with obstacles, hills, water and a lot of mud. Participants must register ahead of time at City Arena or at www.cityofalbertlea.org. The cost is $15 for each participant.

Fabulous Vegas Guys

You don’t want to miss the duo coming to the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center this weekend. On Friday, the Fabulous Vegas Guys will perform starting at 7:30 p.m. The group is known for its impersonations of some of the biggest names in entertainment history, from Arnold Schwarzenegger and Robert DeNiro to Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley. They not only do impressions, but also incorporate their musical talent and humor into their shows. Don’t miss out on a fun night of laughing and entertainment.

Wells Kernel Days

Wells will be popping with activities this weekend due to the town’s annual Kernel Days. There will be many activities for all ages throughout the weekend. Many activities will take place in Half Moon Park on both Friday and Saturday including fireworks, a petting zoo, helicopter rides and many more. There will be a parade at 5 p.m Saturday starting at State Farm Insurance, followed by a performance by Kracker Jack Drumline. There will be a street dance at 9 p.m. Saturday. Doggie Dip

The Albert Lea Aquatic Center will close its doors for humans and open its doors for dogs this weekend. The annual Doggie Dip will be from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Participating dogs must have proof of current vaccinations. The cost of the event is $4 for two humans, plus another $1 for each additional human.

Summer Sizzler

The annual pickleball tournament will be this weekend at the courts at Frank Hall Park. The men’s doubles tournament will start at 9 a.m. Saturday, and the women’s doubles follows at 1 p.m. The mixed doubles tournament will start at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Everyone is welcome to come and watch the action. There will be food available for purchase at the tournament.
