Ramona Schrader, 1928-2018

Ramona Marie Schrader, 89, of Easton died Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, at Parkview Care Center in Wells. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Easton. The Rev. William Sabol will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday. Ramona Schrader

Ramona Marie was born Sept. 18, 1928, in Alden, the daughter of Sigurd and Marie (Nielsen) Skov. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Schrader on June 29, 1948, in Alden. In her younger years she liked to go dancing and traveling with her husband and was his right-hand man on the farm. Ramona worked at State Bank of Easton as a teller for 30 years. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, where she was also the organist for many years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved bowling with her Thursday afternoon ladies, trips to the casino, sewing and quilting, spending time with family and going to her grandkids’ sporting events and activities.

Ramona was a great cook and her family will miss her buns and potato salad.

Ramona is survived by her children Jim “Skinny” (Diana) Schrader of Missouri, Judy Arends of Colorado, Jonelle Ingrebretson of Texas, Joyce (David) Martin of Easton and Jackie (Bryon) Voigt of Wells; grandchildren Aaron, Elisa and Ben (Jen) Schrader, Heather (Dave) Hajek, Tiffany Arends (Justin), Ryan Ingrebretson, Dru Martin, Heather (Jay) Coleman, Steven Voigt and Allie Voigt (Michael); great-grandchildren Daylyn and Caldyn Huper, Sierra Bouknight, Haley Kunce, Vanessa Arends, Axel and Adam Schrader and Jaycie Coleman; brothers- and sisters-in-law Yvonne Walker of Wells, Arnold (Marlene) Schrader of Wells, Ronald Schrader of Maine, Sandra (Mike) Hall of Arizona and Mary (Greg) Alger of Wells; and many nieces and nephews and their families.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; an infant daughter; sister, Deanna Ravn; granddaughters Gretchen Arends and Melissa Huper; and son-in-law, John Arends.
