3 arrested for drug possession and other reports

Gun reported

A report of a male wearing a Minnesota Timberwolves jersey showing people a gun and starting an argument was made at 11:01 p.m. Sunday in the north downtown lot. The male was reportedly walked off toward Clark Street and Broadway Avenue.

 

3 arrested for drug possession

Albert Lea police arrested Erin Lynn Bennett, 33, and Leonte Laray High Town, 30, for cocaine possession during a traffic stop at 10:23 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Euclid Avenue and West William Street.

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Brittley Renae Talamantes, 22, for fifth-degree meth possession and hypodermic needles possession during a traffic stop at 1:37 a.m. Sunday on Minnesota Highway 251. At the scene, deputies cited Dimitri John Clark, 23, for driving on a revoked license. Clark was held on a Martin County misdemeanor warrant.

Police arrested Sabrina Maria Angel Truesdell, 31, on a warrant at 6:08 p.m. Friday at 222 St. Mary Ave.

 

2 cited for violations

Police cited Joseph John Hamson, 48, for domestic assault after a domestic incident was reported at 11:52 a.m. Saturday at 213 Fenton Ave.

Police cited Arycka Ranae Clark, 21, for trespassing at 7:31 p.m. Sunday at 608 Water St.

 

Burglaries, damage reported

Albert Lea police arrested Kavin Earl Whelan, 64, for criminal damage to property and burglary after a burglary report was filed at 7:35 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, 918 Garfield Ave.

Whelan allegedly broke a basement window on the north side of the church and went through several areas of the building, according to Albert Lea Police. Windows were broken inside of the building to gain entry to church offices.

A $26.66 gas drive-off was reported at 6:50 p.m. Friday at Gopher Stop, 309 E. Main St. in Clarks Grove. The vehicle was described as gray with an unknown make or model.

A $42.53 gas drive-off was reported at 1:49 p.m. Saturday at SuperAmerica, 23087 Minnesota Highway 13. The suspect vehicle was described as a red Dodge Ram.

A door to a garage was reported kicked in, tools stolen and a truck damaged at 8:40 a.m. Friday at 521 St. Peter Ave.

A car was reported damaged while parked in an apartment parking lot at 11:13 a.m. Friday at 504 James Ave.

Damage to a door handle of a vehicle was reported at 1:54 p.m. Friday at 616 Fountain St. The incident allegedly happened between Thursday night and Friday morning while the car was parked in the victim’s driveway behind the address.

A car window was reported broken on a 2003 Buick at 4:09 p.m. Friday at 922 Lincoln Ave. Damage was estimated at $90. No suspects were identified.

Jewelry was reported taken from a residence at 7:22 p.m. Friday at 604 Pillsbury Ave.

A back door was reported broken, the house ransacked and a flat-screen television, pop and other items taken at 12:30 a.m. Saturday at 802 Harding Ave.

A basement window was reported open and $30 of fundraising money taken the previous night at 8:51 p.m. Saturday at 413 E. Sixth St.

An estimated $300 in damage to a tan Kia was reported at 11:26 a.m. Sunday at Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 77820 E. Main St.
