Albert Lea woman injured in two-vehicle crash

An Albert Lea woman was injured Friday in a two-vehicle crash in southern part of the city.

Audrey Nicole Robins, 25, was taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea with an injury deemed not life-threatening, according to Albert Lea police.

Police state Robins was driving a black Ford vehicle east on Eighth Street and Thomas James Nelson, 59, of Albert Lea was driving a 2018 white Chevy truck north on Todd Avenue when the two vehicles failed to yield the right-of-way and collided at the intersection of the two roads.

The crash was reported at 8:35 p.m.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, and Robins and Nelson were wearing their seat belts, the report states.
