Favorite teacher of all time and why?

I can’t really choose a favorite teacher, because most have made such a big impact on my life and I appreciate them all.

Favorite book/author:

I absolutely love books so I can’t answer this well, but my best answer is I own all of my 30-plus favorite books.

Current/past activities, volunteer work and accomplishments:

I was in volleyball for a few years and used to help out at Youth For Christ’s The Rock. Now I’m in MAAP Stars (Minnesota Association of Alternative Programs and Success, Teamwork, Academics, Reward, Self-Esteem), where we try to include everyone in school in activities we plan. I also help out at the Salvation Army. One of my biggest accomplishments is getting back on track for school after missing out on about a whole school year’s worth and then some.

What do you want to do after high school:

I haven’t decided yet, but most of my options involve something in the English field.

What advice would you give to younger students in Albert Lea:

Be more outgoing; never be afraid to ask for help when needed. Things might get a bit rough, but just keep working hard and focus on what you want for yourself because in the end, troubles and all, it’s worth it.
