Gloria Dunahoo, 1934-2018

Gloria (Evans) Dunahoo, 83, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, died peacefully in hospice Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, surrounded by her family. Gloria had been fighting health problems for a number of years, but her courage, family and faith kept her going.
Gloria was born Nov. 12, 1934, in Kossuth County, Iowa, to Harold and Elsie (Smith) Evans. She attended elementary through 10th grade in Swea City, Iowa. They moved to Albert Lea in 1952 and Gloria graduated with the Albert Lea High School class of 1954.
In 1956, Gloria was united in marriage to Gordon Dunahoo at Lackland Air Force Base in Bexar County, Texas. They then moved to Whitman Air Force Base in Knob Noster, Missouri. Upon his discharge from the Air Force, they moved to Anoka in 1978 and then to Albuquerque.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Gordon Dunahoo, of Albuquerque; children Debra (Don) Zink of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Douglas (Vicki) Dunahoo, Dennis (Debby) Dunahoo and DeeAnn Wagner, all of Albuquerque; brother, Wesley (Beverly) Evans, of Albert Lea; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many cousins in the Albert Lea, Mason City and Swea City, Iowa, areas.
