We have a dedicated staff that strives to meet the needs of our diverse student body every day. We are proud of the accomplishments of the members of our district at every level of education.

We continue to expand our ConnectED technology initiative. This year, our students in grades six through 12 will be issued a laptop computer to assist with their studies, while students in grades three through five will have access to laptops in every classroom on a daily basis. Students in kindergarten through second will have access to iPads.

As the year progresses, we will take steps to improve our athletic facilities in preparation for the 2019-20 school year, thanks to the community support of our $24.5 million referendum.

I invite you to take some time to see our students in action at sporting events, or be entertained by some of our outstanding performers in the fine arts.

Mike Funk is the Albert Lea Area Schools superintendent.

Funk said the district has “a dedicated staff that strives to meet the needs of our diverse student body every day.” – Provided
