Wanda June Doyle was born June 16, 1930, in Northwood to Andrew and Ruby Gardner. She died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018.

Wanda loved music and was blessed with an amazing singing voice, which she gladly shared with others. Her ability was discovered in her youth. Wanda sang throughout her life. She had many passions — music, her family, entertaining and playing bridge.

She attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. She was a Messiah soloist and was chosen to be in the Nordic Choir — a highly regarded choir reserved for select voices. She also had private singing lessons.

Wanda married James Doyle and raised three children: Chrystine, J. Mart and Kathleen. All three children survive her, along with one grandson, Erin. She is also survived by sister-in-laws Ruth Sanders, Mary Schmid and Mary Beth Doyle, and numerous nephews and nieces.

A service will be performed at 1 p.m. Thursday at Thorne Crest Senior Living Community. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Lunch will follow the service.

Memorials are preferred to Shriners Hospital.
