3 arrested for drunken driving

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Lori Ann Miller, 52, for second-degree driving while intoxicated and an open container violation after a report of a drunken driver who reportedly crossed both lanes, nearly sideswiping another vehicle and nearly crashing into another vehicle head-on was made at 11:41 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 90 near the Oakland exit.

Albert Lea police arrested Alan Francis Picha, 63, for fourth-degree DWI, having a .08 blood alcohol content or more within two hours and speeding during a traffic stop at 11:54 p.m. Saturday at 509 E. Main St.

Police arrested Kevin Haymore, 52, for DWI during a traffic stop at 12:44 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of East Main Street and Sibley Avenue. Haymore was cited for fourth-degree DWI and speeding.

 

3 arrested for warrants, drugs

Police arrested Lamar John Collins, 24, on a local warrant and fifth-degree drug possession after an arrest warrant execution was reported at 2:02 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of West Clark Street and South Washington Avenue.

Police arrested Eddy Delossantos, 49, on a local warrant at 4:15 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of West College Street and Euclid Avenue.

Police arrested Eric John Techau, 42, on a local warrant after disorderly conduct was reported at 8:28 p.m. Thursday at 1427 Academy Ave.

 

2 cited for violations

Police cited Joseph Nathanael Peterson, 19, for theft at 4:15 p.m. Sunday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

Police cited Austin Michael Anderson, 19, for drug paraphernalia possession after a traffic crash with no injury was reported at 1:28 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of West Clark Street and South Washington Avenue.

 

Fire reported

A report of a boy with matches starting a fire in a men’s bathroom was filed at 7:09 p.m. Saturday at Walmart. The fire was extinguished before fire crews arrived, and damage was described as “minimal,” by Albert Lea Deputy Chief of Police Darren Hanson. No arrests or citations were reported.

 

Thefts, damage reported

A report of three political signs missing from a yard was filed at 3:33 p.m. Friday at 1209 Crestview Road. They were valued at approximately $20. The signs were later believed to be found elsewhere.

A report of a 5-feet, 8-inch white male filling a suitcase with items and leaving the store was filed at 5:20 a.m. Saturday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave. The merchandise was valued at approximately $776. The male was described as wearing a black and blue jacket and a blue hat.

A vehicle was reported rummaged through and about $100 in cash taken at 9:07 a.m. Friday at 1122 Frank Hall Drive.

Gas was reported taken out of a pickup in a shed at 8:42 a.m. Saturday at 80256 235th St. A hose was left in the tank, and a cap left off. A DeWalt radio was reported taken last week.

A report of copper piping being taken from an LP tank was filed at 10:18 a.m. Sunday at 87332 State Line Road in the Glenville area.

A back door was reported busted in and a chair tipped over at 6:37 p.m. Sunday in Albert Lea. The address was unavailable on police records.

A theft by check report was filed at 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Gopher Stop, 309 E. Main St. in Clarks Grove.

A front windshield was reported broken at 5:20 a.m. Friday at 126 W. Clark St. Damage was estimated at $500.

A vehicle window was reported smashed and a couple sets of keys missing at 11:20 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of 735th Avenue and 110th Street in the Glenville area.

A report of property being broken into and items stolen was filed at 9:34 a.m. Thursday at 11724 870th Ave. in the Glenville area.

An $8 gas drive-off was reported at 1:54 p.m. Thursday at Gopher Stop. The suspect vehicle was described as a white work truck with a topper.

Rims and tires were reported taken off a truck at 7:03 p.m. Thursday at a farm at 86857 130th St. in the Glenville area.
