Peggy Bennett helped deliver the largest increase in road and bridge funding — all without a gas tax increase. Peggy will oppose Democrats’ push for a massive gas tax increase because she knows we can take care of our roads and bridges without forcing Minnesotans to pay more at the pump. Her opponent says he is in favor of raising the gas tax, which would hurt our low-income residents and seniors the most — people who can’t afford to buy new fuel-efficient cars or expensive electric cars. I’m a senior myself, and I’m on a fixed income. My pocketbook can’t afford a gas tax increase. Thank you, Peggy Bennett, for going to bat for seniors and those on a tight budget and funding our roads and bridges without a tax increase.
