Albert Lea Cantori will present the annual “Singing in the Season” concert at 3 p.m. Sunday at United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. The theme for this year’s concert is “Let There Be Peace on Earth.”

The Cantori will usher in Advent and Christmas with traditional music, such as “The Prayer of the Children,” “Veni,” “Veni Emmanuel,” “Watchman Tell Us of the Night,” “Some Children See Him,” “Silent Night” and “What Sweeter Music.” The second half will include “Parade of the Wooden Soldiers,” “The Very Best Time of Year” and “Twas the Night Before Christmas.”

Gail Thurnau will accompany the choir. The Cantori is directed by Eileen Nelson Ness.

Cantori began in 1972, and singers are from Albert Lea and the surrounding area.

There will be an offering taken for the food shelf. As this is a popular concert, those who wish to attend are encouraged to come early. Seating begins at 2:30 p.m. The concert is open to the public.
