Kenneth McKee, 1939-2018

Kenneth Dean McKee, 79, of Easton passed away unexpectedly Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, following a stroke suffered on Sunday. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Open Doors United Methodist Church in Wells. The Rev. Chris Leistra will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church Saturday. Interment will be at Lura Township Cemetery in Lura Township, Faribault County. Kenneth McKee

Kenn was born Jan. 26, 1939, the son of Joseph and Marcella (Klenk) McKee. He graduated from Wells High School with honors. Kenn married Carolyn Anderson on Sept. 28, 1958, in Wells. Kenn was employed by Del Monte Corporation in San Francisco. He retired as a production and budget planning manager at age 51, after 31 years of service. Kenn enjoyed being the treasurer of Keicker Homeowner’s Association, supervisor of Lura Township Board and previous treasurer of Lura Cemetery and TEAM.

Kenn is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Marcella McKee; and son, Brad McKee.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn McKee, of Easton; brother, Keith (JoAnn) McKee, of Marshall; daughters Barbara (Dave) Michelsen of Clayton, California, Brenda (Joe) Kozak of Pittsburg, California, and Beth (Mike) Matheny of Pittsburg; grandchildren Angela Mead, Jennifer (Mitch) Rudnick, Alisa Kozak, Brian Michelsen, Danielle (Brian) Styskal, Andrew and Tyler Matheny, and Delaney and Derek McKee; great-grandchildren Kaitlynn and Logan Mead, Emma Okland, Luke and Sierra Styskal, and Grayson Rudnick; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Kenn’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the medical staff at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato and Mayo Clinic Hospital-St. Marys campus in Rochester.
