A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mary Ellen Ogren (nee Nelson) will be at 11 a.m. March 23 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 700 Snelling Ave. S., St. Paul, MN 55116. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. A lunch will follow the service at noon.

In memory of Mary, contributions may be made to the University of Minnesota Foundation, “I want to be a Nurse Scholarship” University of Minnesota School of Nursing, 308 Harvard St. SE, #5-160, Minneapolis, MN 55455.

Mary passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family Christmas Day, Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Rolland Paul Ogren.

She is survived by her children Andrew Olaf Ogren and his spouse, Anne of Brainerd, Amy Marie Steinke and her spouse, Chris, of Silverthorne, Colorado, and Angela Elizabeth Ogren of St. Paul; grandchildren Kristofer Bengtt Ogren and his fiance, Blake Lee ,of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Bryan Anders Ogren, Allison Nikole Ogren and Taylor Lynn Ogren of Brainerd; her brother, Harold Nelson, of Albert Lea; and sisters-in-law Elaine Ogren of Apple Valley and Jan Lindstrom of Bonsal, California.
