OAKLAND — A car crash Thursday afternoon west of Oakland has killed at least one person, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash was reported in the area of the intersection of Freeborn County Road 46 and 850th Avenue. One car was on its side at 4:30 p.m. near the Canadian Pacific railroad tracks north of Freeborn County Road 46.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
First responders from multiple agencies responded.
