Jackie died peacefully Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, surrounded by her family at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer for almost 15 years.
Jackie Lynn (Bentzin) Williamson was born Nov. 27, 1959, in Austin, the youngest of Lowell and Irene (Bagley) Bentzin’s seven children. She graduated from Austin High School in 1978 and attended college for a short time.
Jackie was united in marriage to Brad Williamson on Oct. 15, 1983, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. She was a loan officer for City and County Employees Federal Credit Union for over 25 years.
Jackie enjoyed photography, music, traveling, playing piano, going for walks and taking care of her flowers. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and playing a lot of softball — with her softball team going to nationals in 1987.
Her most treasured times were spending time with her family, friends, fur baby Bella and granddog Teddy. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a big fan of the Minnesota Vikings. Jackie was involved with all her daughters’ and grandchildren’s school and sporting activities and also served on the church scholarship committee.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Brad Williamson; daughters Lacey (Jace) DeBoer, Katie Williamson and Lisa (Rob) Jensen; grandchildren Zoie and Aiden; mother-in-law, Joanne Williamson; sisters Linda (Mike) Linehan, Kathy (Chip) Grey, Betty Jean (David) Wytaske, Candy (Mike) Rector and Rosanne Esse; brother-in-law, Bernie (Sandy) Williamson; sisters-in-law Julie (Tom) DeBoer and Jamie (Kim) Mollberg; and several nieces and nephews.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents Lowell and Irene Bentzin; brother, Denny Bentzin; brothers-in-law Paul Kroening and John Esse; and father-in-law, Bernard Williamson.
