1 arrested for DWI

Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Katie Marie Richards, 39, for third-degree driving while intoxicated during a traffic stop at 3:08 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of East Fourth Street and South Broadway Avenue.

 

1 arrested for shoplifting

Albert Lea police arrested Rochelle Regina Jacobs, 52, for shoplifting after a theft report was filed at 5:32 p.m. Monday at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave.

 

1 cited after liquor law violation

Police cited one person after a liquor law violation was reported at 3:07 p.m. Monday at 2000 Tiger Lane. 

 

Juvenile taken into custody for weapons

A juvenile was reported taken into custody because he had weapons on him at 3:31 p.m. Monday at 411 S. Broadway Ave. The juvenile was expected to be charged by formal complaint and was released to his parents.

 

Thefts reported

A report of parents being scammed out of $2,000 by way of four $500 Best Buy gift cards was filed at noon Monday in the Albert Lea area.

A Samsung tablet was reported taken at 10:49 a.m. Monday at 1009 St. John Ave.
