Marvel Katherine Hansen, 100, a longtime resident of Minnetonka, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, in Eagan. 

Marvel was born June 3, 1918, in Oakland to Lyman and Ingeborg “Belle” (Veum) Ofstun.  She was preceded in death by husband, Thorolf; sisters Merle Brodkast, Vivian Ofstun and Leona Ofstun; brother, Arthur (Lillian) Ofstun; and infant twin brothers Burton and Burnal Ofstun.

She is survived by son, Jeff (Judy) Hansen; and granddaughter, Amalia (Troy) Schneider.  Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Oakland Lutheran Church, 22042 850th Ave. in Oakland. Visitation was one hour prior to the service.

Memorials are preferred to Oakland Lutheran Church or Oakland Cemetery Association.  Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
