MLK Day event planned in Albert Lea

Martin Luther King Jr. Day will be marked Monday in Albert Lea with musical performances and stories of young immigrants.
The free event is scheduled from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Riverland Community College’s Albert Lea campus lecture hall.
Donations of $3 are suggested for refreshments.
St. Theodore Catholic School students are expected to perform music to celebrate King’s legacy, and stories of young immigrants will be shared.
Minnesota Immigrant Law Center Attorney Sara Karki is expected to speak on the program theme, Peace and Justice for Immigrants. Peace and Justice scholarships will be awarded.
