Jeffrey Perhus, 1950-2019

A celebration of life for Jeffrey P. Perhus, 68, of Albert Lea will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Moose Lodge, 1623 W. Main St. in Albert Lea. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.
Jeff died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at his home.
Jeffrey Philip Perhus was born Aug. 11, 1950, in Brainerd, the son of Philip and Veda (Morland) Perhus. He graduated from Albert Lea High School. On May 1, 2009, Jeff was united in marriage to Jonelle Wasson at Elks Lodge in Albert Lea.
He was a member of Crossroads Church. Jeff was also a member of the Car Club in high school, the Motorcycle Club in Red Wing and the Elks. He enjoyed reading. Jeff loved spending time with his family — especially his grandchildren — as well as family in Oklahoma. He also liked the time he spent with his many friends.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Jonelle; four stepchildren, David (Lana) George of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Kevin (Lisa) George of Carver, Jennifer Wasson of Albert Lea and John (Christi) Wasson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; mother-in-law, Lena Auld, of Ponca City; sisters Lynn (Gene) Joel of Albert Lea and Jane Perhus of Iowa; brother, Mark Perhus, of New Salem, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Allison Wasson, Lanie Jo George, Colt George, Ben Winburn and Rance Crawford; brother-in-law, Bob (Becky) Hanson; and several very special nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents Philip and Veda; father-in-law, Pete Auld; sister, Carol Hanson; and grandparents, aunts and uncles.
