Memorial services for Brian L. Scott, 56, of Blooming Prairie will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Brian died Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

Brian Lee Scott was born Jan. 17, 1963, in Albert Lea, the son of Lawrence and Dorothy (Loken) Scott. He attended and graduated from New Richland-Hartland Schools and went on to complete the diesel mechanic program at Albert Lea Vo-Tech. Brian moved to Texas, working as a diesel mechanic, and then worked at Viacon for 20 years as a boilermaker. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, field working and gardening.

Brian is survived by his sister, Anne (Craig) Blouin, of Ellendale; niece, Brittany Blouin; and nephew, Dustin Blouin.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
